In February 2017, the boiler in the Parkview Apartments at UMCS failed, and we found ourselves without heat in 18 of our apartment units. This was an unexpected event that we had neither anticipated or planned for. Luckily, the agency was blessed to receive support from 15 different congregations and individual donors who stepped up to provide a brand new boiler for the Parkview Apartments. Because of their generosity, our residents and the Growing Tree Childcare will have much needed heat for many winter seasons to come. We are grateful for their support.
